Adlib Training

-make the most of your software-

Adlib training is designed to be as ‘hands-on’ as possible, and uses a mixture of taught sessions, presentations and exercises in a structured yet relaxed learning environment. Our aim is to enable each user to make the most of their Adlib software.

While we provide a range of standard courses designed to complement our standard applications, we can also develop and deliver more specialised courses to meet a specific need.

Introductory Training Courses

Aimed primarily at new users of Adlib Archive, Library or Museum, our introductory courses explain in simple terms how to use the standard applications in combination with real data. These courses provide all the skills necessary to get you started with your new Adlib system. No prior understanding of Adlib is necessary or assumed. All you require is a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows.

Intermediate and Advanced Training Courses

For more experienced users, we offer a range of supplementary courses designed to develop a more in-depth knowledge of the system. These enable you to take full advantage of Adlib’s rich functionality by, for example, building your confidence with the more sophisticated search tools, or learning how to change your web search and results pages in the Internet Server. It is often advisable to leave a few weeks between having introductory and any further training, in order to have time to use and consolidate your basic knowledge before moving on.

Customised Training

Adlib can provide customised training tailored to your particular situation using your own application and data. This type of training is developed in close co-operation between you and our training department. Please contact us for more details if you feel that a customised course might best suit your needs.

Adlib Training Centre

The Adlib Training Centre is located at our offices in Swindon. Here we offer a regular schedule of courses which are open to all Adlib users. Trainees have often commented on the fact that working alongside Adlib users from other institutions gives the courses a broader perspective and presents useful opportunities for networking.

Details of the current course schedule are available on request, and are also published on our web site http://www.Adlibsoft.com. Training Centre courses are limited to no more than 7 delegates to ensure the maximum benefit to each participant. All refreshments and lunch on each day are included in the price.

We also can deliver customised courses at the Training Centre, if this is desired. Often delegates find it useful to be able to come to an environment where they can concentrate upon learning without the everyday interruptions and distractions of the workplace.
