Adlib participates in Europeana Inside

In collaboration with Collections Trust, and numerous European cultural organizations (like museums, libraries, archive and cultural heritage institutions), Adlib Information Systems participates in the EU funded Europeana Inside project. The primary goal of the project is to enhance the quantity and scope of cultural material available to the public through the Europeana platform, which would act as the central domain aggregator and point of access. Europeana Inside will lead to a specific increase in content to Europeana of more than 960 thousand records from 15 cultural institutions and 5 national and thematic aggregators in the EU. It will also open up the potential for more than 7000 other cultural institutions to deliver content to Europeana simply and easily in the future – a potential contribution of more than 30 million new records! Adlib’s contribution will be the implementation of an easy-to-use interface which empowers users of the Adlib software suite to easily submit data to the Europeana platform. Adlib will also contribute to the technology standards that will be used throughout the project.
